The name corn snake may have originated from the markings on this snake's belly, which resemble maize or Indian corn
Diet- Lizards, tree frogs, mice, rats, birds and bats
Reproduction- female will lay 10-30 eggs per clutch
Sleep Habitat- Primary diurnal
Lifespan- 6-8 years in the wild, up to 20 years in captivity
